Making a Product

After Graduating from MIT, I spent some time traveling. I felt like I needed to see more of the world and escape from my routine.  When I started to book my airline tickets, I found that it was impossible to find the cheapest flight across the Atlantic, unless I went to great lengths with an excel spreadsheet and lots of Google flights queries (I did).  And then, I still only had the best flight for that day.  There might be a cheaper flight on another day (so I made some more spreadsheets).

I couldn't believe that I could find the cheapest pair of socks on Amazon, but not a single search engine could find the cheapest flight of the year.  In the age of the internet, nobody should have to go through all the work I did just to find a good deal.  And if it became easier to find these lucratively cheap flights, regular people might get to travel internationally more often.

So when I got back home, I started designing a tool that could find the cheapest flights from one large region to another, and display the best option for each day.

Eventually, I added a nice interface, and put it on a website, and www.nomad-flights.com was started.

Founding a Company

I founded the company Nomad Flights LLC in January 2017 so that I file my taxes correctly and start a bank account for the company.

The Plan

My plan is to grow the website to a profitable point, and then make some better features so it can be used for more types of trips.
